Older Adult & Gentle Pilates

Joseph Pilates - " Your age is the flexibility of your spine "

Standing Strength & Balance

Our standing strength & balance can be something we take for granted, however for different reasons this can become more challenging particularly as we get older. This class is focused on safe, effective movements designed specifically to improve functional strength and mobility.

Join this fun welcoming group, to improve standing strength, balance, and flexibility. A combination of standing Pilates and calisthenics with Pilates on the mat. Exercises are non-impact with a focus on body alignment and core stability. We work at a gentle pace, with our focus on mindful body awareness, and good pilates technique, with movement lead from the centre/core. We aim to build strength, and gain further mobilisation within the joints with flowing controlled movements. Progressions offered for those who wish to go further as you improve.

Clear instructions, plenty of variety. Tutor tailored the course to our age and ability and made it fun. Challenging, friendly, helpful, constructive. It helps me to keep fit, good intensity exercise for me.
